CLIENTS – Some examples of voice recording, spoken word projects, musical recordings and audio production work at dVoicebox:
Kevin Martin Media – We used dVoicebox’s Source Connect to hook up with with a recording studio in Canada so that The Archers actor Sunny Ormode could record dialogue for a new animated video project.
“We Need to Catch Up” – Full song production – Jane Curtan had a dream of getting her song professionally recorded. Although not a singer herself she had come up with the tune and the lyric which she recorded by singing on her phone. We took that audio reference and created a full arrangement for the song and then recorded all the instrumental parts using professional players and conservatoire trained singer Ruby Thorne. It was mixed and mastered with several different versions produced.
Wheeler Dealer Podcast – TV and podcast presenter Mike Brewer and his team used dVoiceBox to record several episodes of the A-Z of Cars podcast.
The sessions included in person recording in our booth with Mike Brewer and “Mrs B” while hooking up to remote co-presenter Andy Jaye and various interviewees via Zoom. The recorded separate studio and Zoom feed audio files were then sent after each session to TBI Media in London for final production.
We also recorded voice overs with Mike for a series of sponsor tags.
KC Jones – Roots. Chris mastered the most recent album from folk duo K C Jones. It’s called Roots. The 12 track album is available on-line and was released on CD.
Her Day Opera – This new operatic work composed by Sayan Kent was performed at the HMV Empire in Coventry in March 2022 as a part of the Coventry City of Culture.
Chris, together with assistant recording engineer Mick Bisiker, recorded the performance audio track to synchronise with the performance video shot by videographer Jack Richardson from Run Home Productions.
The opera involved 4 principal sopranos plus a 12 strong chorus and a 5 piece band. Due to it being done “in the round” Chris had to use more than 14 ambient and close microphones including 4 headsets to capture all aspects of the performance. Chris mixed and mastered the final audio for the DVD.
